CHERRYFIELD, ME — 7th Grade Students from Jonesport attended the 3 Day Marion Kane Leadership Program at the EdGE Building this week. For part of each day they worked on positive decision making and creating Public Service Announcements. They also worked on Team Building and Leadership skills while on the low and high Ropes Course.

HARRINGTON, ME — Local scientists visited the Harrington Elementary EdGE Afterschool Program. Students extracted DNA from strawberries and worked as detectives to identify samples underneath a microscope.
This opportunity was made possible due to a COMPASS Outreach Award from The American Society For Cell Biology.

CHERRYFIELD, ME — Each Sunday afternoon, 3:30-5:00 pm, at the Mission’s Downeast Table of Plenty, everyone is welcome to share satisfying, home-cooked meals.
People age two to ninety, from every segment of the community attend. Music, conversation, and laughter preside. Hunger and loneliness are nowhere in sight.
The Table of Plenty takes place in the EdGE building on our Downeast Campus every Sunday, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Meals are provided by volunteers.
