Congratulations to the Graduating 2024-2025 Mission Scholars

The Mission is excited to celebrate the 13 Mission Scholars who will be graduating from college this spring. Scholars are chosen for their academic achievements throughout high school as well as their commitment to their communities and perseverance during their academic career.  

This year’s graduating Scholars include:

  • Sofie Dowling, Islesford, College of the Atlantic 
  • Lillian Frank, Ellsworth, Bowdoin College 
  • Adria Horton, Mount Desert, University of New England 
  • Holly Ibarguen, Franklin, University of Southern Maine 
  • Abigail Mazgaj, Ellsworth, University of Maine 
  • Gabrielle Morang, Edmunds, University of Maine at Fort Kent 
  • Lillian Philbrook, Ellsworth, University of Maine at Augusta 
  • Kobe Saunders, Calais, University of Maine at Presque Isle 
  • Zachery Wentworth, Calais, University of Maine

The Mission is excited to celebrate these Scholars as they graduate from college. We are honored to have been small part of each of their journeys and we can’t wait to see what they do next.” shares Mission President John Zavodny. 

These college graduates attended nine colleges and universities across the state and originally came from Hancock and Washington counties. Mission Scholarships renew for up to four years and to continue to qualify students must maintain at 2.5 GPA during college.   

The newest Mission Scholarship recipients, who will graduate in 2030, were just selected in April. Learn more about the Scholarship program here
