CHERRYFIELD, ME — It’s Thank you Thursday! Today’s shout-out of Mission Love goes to Hugh and Jenny Lassen, owners of Intervale Farm, an organic blueberry farm in Cherryfield. When the Mission had an opportunity to accept a large delivery of meat for our food pantry, we had a challenge: not enough storage! Hugh and Jenny stepped up and offered us the use of their freezers over the next few months.
It is inspiring to see so many members of the community pitching in to support neighbors. Together, we are finding new ways to increase food security.
