2025 Awardees
Started in 2004, the Sunbeam Award Gala is the Mission’s premiere fundraising event and recognizes those who embody the ideals of community. This year’s awardees include:
Cornelia Cogswell Rossi Foundation
The Cornelia Cogswell Rossi Foundation carries on the philanthropic vision of Dr. Joseph and Connie Rossi, a couple with a strong love of Maine. The foundation has a commitment to supporting efforts intended to benefit all the people of Maine including promoting healthcare, education, and environmental conservation.
Sunrise Country Economic Council
For more than 30 years, Sunrise County Economic Council has facilitated prosperity in Washington County by working with a consortium of community-minded businesses, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and Maine citizens. The organization’s work focuses on developing the workforce, increasing support and resources for entrepreneurs and businesses, and improving and strengthening natural and built environments in Washington County.
Directions and Parking Information
Guests may park at Conners Emerson School on Eden Street in Bar Harbor. Oli’s Trolley will transport guests to and from the Gala. Metered parking is also available on West Street near Bar Harbor Club (at 111 West Street).
To the School from the west side of Mount Desert Island: Turn onto ME-198 S/ME-3 W in 1.4 miles. Turn left onto ME-233 E/Eagle Lake Road in 5.8 miles. Turn left in 0.1 miles.
To the School from the head of Mount Desert Island: Head southeast on ME-3 for 10 miles. Turn right onto Eagle Lake Rd after 187 feet. Turn right in 0.1 mile.
Trolleys will run 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Oli’s Trolley will transport guests to their vehicles between 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
