Come join the women of Sigma Kappa for a fabulous Italian dinner. For just $7 a plate you can have your choice of spaghetti and meatballs or fettuccine (vegetarian) and garlic bread. For people purchasing tickets that are not within Sigma Kappa, your dinner will be provided in a to-go container for your convenience!
Proceeds raised will be donated to the Sigma Kappa Foundation for the benefit of the Maine Seacoast Mission. The Maine Seacoast Mission provides for families living on islands off of the coast of Maine who have no access to food, clothing, medical supplies or other resources. Maine holds a special place in the heart of Sigma Kappa, because we were founded in Waterville, Maine on November 9th, 1874.

CHERRYFIELD, ME — Join us for a fun family night! The Maine Seacoast Mission would love for your family to join us for FAMILY FOOD FEUD! Before the competition, families/teams will meet the evening’s Host and Judges. Each team receives a cooking station with a mystery box and four mystery ingredients.
Each team has 30 minutes to study the ingredients and decide what to prepare/cook. During the allotted time there will be another challenge: a super mystery ingredient your team must include in your recipe. Judging is based on creativity, presentation, and taste.
Gift card prizes are awarded for 1st Place in each category. Come join the fun!

BELFAST, ME — Front Street Shipyard posted this Sunbeam V update October 25 on their Twitter feed.
The photo caption reads, We pulled out Sunbeam’s main engine so we can sandblast the engine room.
The Sunbeam is undergoing a routine major re-fit at Front Street Shipyard. During the interim, the Sunbeam crew continues their work among Maine unbridged islands aboard the Mission’s interim boat, Moonbeam, and through other travel means.

BAR HARBOR, ME — Thank you, Mission Director of Student Pathways Christina S. Griffith for this photo and update about Haley, who “participated in our first College Exploration and Engagement Summer Retreat and is in our first readiness program cohort,” said Director Christina Griffith.
The readiness program provides mentoring and support as the students involved transition to and through college.
Haley was also inducted into “the National Honor Society at Narraguagus High School on Tuesday, October 29th,” said Director Griffith, adding, “Congratulations to Class of 2022 college exploration and engagement student Haley and to fellow Narraguagus students inducted into the National Honor Society.”
